For one second I thought you were telling me that South Wales police had new speed cameras.

Cool

LOL, no.

I was initially going to put Australia, but I can't verify this case for all states, hance why I left it at New South Wales.

I hear that the South Wales police have radar/laser guns that are useable at night.....am I correct?

All pro-lasers are useable at night.

Cool

I have noticed that every single fixed speed camera (similar to a GATSO, but the flashlight is on a different pole) have warning signs leading up to the camera site.

The first sign (approx 200 yds before the camera) will read "Speed Camera Ahead" sometimes with the speed limit showing to the side. The second sign (approx 100 yds before the camera) will read "Heavy fines, loss of licence" possibly with the speed limit showing.
Then you see the camera, which AFAIK, works both ways and at night is lit.

There can be no accusation of revenue raising as there is adequate warning for all cameras.
If you do go past them at speed then the fines are harsher than the ones over in the UK....but there again, if you do go past them at speed, then you definitely deserve to be done, due to the amount of warning you get before each camera!

Surprisingly enough, this works and the vast majority of traffic sticks to the speed limits on the roads.
