jet wash - worth getting?
Thinking of getting a karcher jet wash as halfords doing some good deals.
Are they worth having for car cleaning / drives etc as I have heard mixed reports and some say it takes longer than a standard hose, sponge & bucket.
cheers Simon

Good for rinsing the car, but still needs the good old sponge and bucket. Excellent for the patio tiles! When I first moved into my house I tried it on one of patio tiles in my garden...great result, unfortunately I needed to do the rest as well. I would recommend any of the Karcher products. No relations to them!

By the time you've got the thing out connected it etc ,it's quicker to use a bucket and sponge . It is very good for cleaning patio etc and also for wheels /wheel arches etc (just don't blast off the underseal ).So overall its good ,but no easier for car cleaning .

TRIGGER,
Funny you say that as I felt how rough the brush was and thought there was no way I would EVER use that on my car.
Jetwashers are brilliant for cleaning wheels, cleaning under the wheelarches and getting off all the loose dirt. You will still need to use a bucket and sponge to clean the car though.

I only use it for the car when I am doing the big wash where I strip off the old wax and crud and put new wax on. Otherwise I think it's just too powerful and will strip off the wax. You might as well just use a regular hose.
It's really great for cleaning off patios and concrete drives, etc.

I've got a good karcher and it is brilliant. Bevery careful though because at full power at close range it WILL damage your paintwork. We have loads of stone wall which gets muck all over it and is near impossible to get off by hand. The jetwash lifts it straight off - very useful
Don't use it to clean your bike! My kid did, and it filled his bottom bracket with crud, which destroyed it

Focus are doing a "Champion" one at the mo, complete with accessories for £49. I have that one, and at that price, it's a snip!!

<<<Only bother with a KARCHER though - they are the only ones worth the hosepower!!>>>
Don't know why anyone would say that, unless they have experienced them all?
As I said, I have a Champion, have had it 3 years, it is shared between me and a neighbour, gets used almost every weekend, and, so far, hasn't put a foot wrong.
