An IQ of anything over 120 is considered pretty good whereas 100 is around the average.
There have been many studies regarding the IQ and it is widely believed to be slanted towards the white caucasian (sp?) male.
Personally I think it is slanted towards those who enjoy logic puzzles and who can function well under time pressure - I am not really sure that it is that good of an indicator of intelligence, but that's only my opinion.

iq 100 is supposed to be the "average" man/woman
Bit unreliable though, mates round all, bit pissed, did 'the spark' one, group of apparently smart people, engineers, scientists, accountant,..results varied between 59 and 170..we all think of each other as about the same, very surprised by some. Bet's were not on the apparent highest or lowest scoring person.

The thing about online tests is that, although you're supposed to answer as many questions as you can within a given time span, most people take as long as they like until they get bored.
Very few people have done a strictly time-controlled Mensa test, meaning most IQ claims are worthless, imo.

182. But that means jack. All it means is that I can learn a bit faster than most. At the end of the day, if you work and study hard, you can achive the same if not more than the "so called geniuses"..

Believe it or not, UK mensa.
I just took the test and never followed through with it in 96. But its not an accurate test if you know what I mean. Just because I'm good in math does not generally mean that my IQ is high. It just means that I've learnt the things before.
IQ tests are just a waste of time if you know what I mean.

one of the highest IQs ever recorded was of a bank clerk (not exactly a high acheiver).
Aparrently MENSA cottoned on that membership had obvious snob value and lowered the requirement for entry thereby gaining alot more members and alot more cash (quite intelligent realy).

we did it at university. Mensa were running a study to find out if the test was biased towards maths students against art students. The maths students won hands down. I was about 3rd in the bunch. Loads of people with lower IQ's got better degrees, so it isn't really a measure of anything. BTW - I was told at the time that 159 was 'exceptional genius.' I thought they said the students union was serving exceptional Guinness at £1.59 so I didn't hang around to give the nice Mensa chaps any money
