Seems to be a few Rock/Guitar/Metal type threads going on so...............
Who's the biggest Metallica fan out there?
Did a huge amount of Metallica covers in my old band and still listen to it in the scoob whilst "hurrying" along my favorite roads.
Awesome structure to the songs and a song for every mood from slow ballads to in yer face thrash

Dispite alot of other people opinions I really liked Their S&M album. Many people preach about the "Master of Puppets" being the be-all and end-all of Metallica rock, however I prefer their Black album, now, if only it had Memory Remains on it, that would be perfect!
Have you heard who they've got in to replace Newsted? I'll wait for the album to see if they realy do 'Gel' as much as Lars says they do.

I've got Cunning Stunts on DVD ,that's pretty damn good! It's weird as I got used to the version of So What on Garage Inc, and the version on that has mostly different lyrics.
Interesting to hear an early 'demo' version of Memory Remains as well.

Got ACDC's "Back in Black" CD in the car at the moment:
1) You Shook Me All Night Long - great song to drive home to on a Friday evening.
2) Hells Bells - great song to drive to work on a Monday morning.

Saw Iron Maiden TWICE in 2000 on the Metal 2000 tour, suppored by Halford (from Judas Priest fame), Slayer, and Entombed. What a show that was!
Got their 4 hours early and got guranteed tot he front of the mosh pit! My mate even touched hands with Bruce Dickinson.. as he was being carried over the barrier due to de-hydration
I came out of one of those gigs 1 stonne lighter due to the amount I sweated in the 'pit', long hair and eveything....ahhh...those were the days.
Anyone here into Def Leppard?

Will reply in full when I have the time mate but sheer quality and my old band
did more metallica covers than anything else
'For whom the bell tolls' won the punters over every time
Regret the day I ever left to become an accountant
PS Not an accountant anymore I may add and will never forget the day in Newcastle when I sat and chatted with Lemmy and Co....
Phil was even wearing the leather trousers with the silver aces down the side..........

I'm a big Queensryche fan. I have plenty of metallic, ac/dc, whitesnake etc albums (love Coverdale - coolest dude!).
Favourite metallica album is the black album, fav whitesnake is 1987, fav ryche is 'operation:mindcrime' - immense album, favourite ac/dc is 'dirty deeds done dirt cheap'.
