my day at 'Blind Date'

well i went yesterday to be the Standby pickee on Blind Date!!
all the 3 lads turned up!!!!
so i didn't get the chance to be on TV just yet, but they may call me back to be on the show at a nother time.
the show went well, rehersals in the afternoon, i helped the lads go through there lines,
(the pickers were kept away from the pickees all day! till the very end, when they recored the show in the evening, even then the pickkees only say the picker when they 1st came round the screen)
the 3 girl pickees (+ their standby) were lovely looking girls! we had some fun with them throughout the day.
after the show and the pickers had picked there pickee, they went off to where ever they had to go........ready to go on there 'DATE' and us who were the 'rejects' all went up to a big room 4 drinks and sandwiches, the standby pickers and the two groups of couples who 'came back' to tell Cilla how their date went also joined us.
then the two 'not' picked girls and their standby and the two 'not' picked guys + myself, headed to Leciester Square to Cub the nite away.
on being droped by taxi out side the Hippodrome, i recognized a guy on the door who i used to play golf with at my GolfClub (he now works the door there) got chatting about old times to him and he got us in as VIP's!!! how lucky & cool was that?
left there about 2:45am and got back to the Hotels we were all put up in over night By LWT.
left this morning....met Bex (Rebecca) 4 coffee as she works round the corner.......then caught the 10:55 back to Nottm, arried in Nottm at 12:36.
Fad day, fantastic excperiance and a very good insight to how the show is put together.
ps, i didn't get to meet Cilla, she didn't even come to the aftershow 'party' to say thank you to us!!!!! Oh well

One good thing is at least I don't have to watch the show now
