I'll try to be there post 21.00hrs probably - I'm a complete novice at CS - please bear in mind (I was pretty good at Q2 in my time though)

Downloaded Realbot ver 1.0 last week. Highly recommend for some offline fun, especially if several of your mates and you go against 10 high/godlike bot. It's Great fun

thats good news taff. c u on thurs. you might want to take a look on some of the UK2.net servers as they run ones specifically for beginners. you'll find them in gamespy if you do a complete search.

A new build (ver 2.0) is to be release soon, can't wait as ver 1.0 is a crack. The bots do have some waypoint issues but hey, I currently find it more fun using realbot than playing on public servers

have got 1.3 last night - not yet installed

left getright with a retry of 3 sec intervals, isp redialler set to reconnect in event of disconnection leave 6 hours woke this morning to hl and cs patches

some barrysworld were on 1.3 lastnight and all of jolt.co.uk were 1.3.

can't wait to try it

guys i dont know what the servers will be running tonite.

i am assuming 1.3 as BW are a mirror for the files i would expect them to upgrade quickly ?

will not know til i can check on gamespy tonite.....

i've not yet upgraded - net so slow last nite on 56k i'm gonna pick up a cd from a m8 with adsl - he got both files in less than 30 mins ?!!

I now have 1.3.

Last night the bugger downloaded 19MB with approx 30 mins to go so I went to bed. Got up 40 mins later, hoorah download completed successfully, 23.3.MB saved. FFS!!!

Anyhew, much fatter pipe d/l in under 3 mins this morning and is now on CD.

I haven't installed it yet, waiting for this praccy in case we neeed the previous version.

we was having some probs - dizzy could not talk to start but could here us ?

wondered where peeps went on survivor ? strange that some had problems on it and others did not.

predator would not load at all ?

i gave up to cos only 2 of us on so i went and had tea instead.

Soz chaps Couldn't make it - DOesn't look like I missed much . Wife a bit ill so not PC to go and play C/S. Also been too busy @ work to get the updates.

Now we're getting our Network under control (combination of Code Red II and nimda sent connection and traffic levels on the WAN and DIAL networks throurgh the roof) may have more time for C/S downloads

I haven't down loaded 1.3 yet and having lots of problems with my PC since upgrading and getting some nasty viruses.

Counterstrike should be renamed counter productive - got in 9.30 last night and thought great - 1/2hr to kick some butt and then got faced with a "update your CS" which I declined followed by a message telling me my protocol was no good.

My proto-what? Assumed it was this new version but with my pi55 poor internet connection it would take all night to download the patch and hence I was not there - @rse @rse @rse

It's taken me 3 weeks to get CS up and running and played for about 5 minutes in total (shot within 30 seconds each game) and now have to download again!!

Life's too short - isn't it? Anyway, I'll endeavour to download on the weekend and I'll be up for the next one

Does anyone know if the patch will come on the front of a magazine? I need the version for retail

well that was a definite poor session last nite.

hopefully everyone will get 1.3 working for sunday. luckily for me a m8 with adsl burnt it to a cdrw so i went to his office last nite to collect !
