Question

We all go through what we would do if we won, but if you won £5million and had to chose 3 cars what would you REALLY go out and buy ?

I would have a Vanquish,
Austin Healey 3000, (or HMG)
and an X5.

Close reserve - GT3

Mmmmm . . . difficult one

s`pose it would have to be

Zonda C12 - Mercedes V12-48valve

Jaguar XK180 4 litre 450bhp supercharged

Metro 6R4

P.S.
Lucky enough to have driven all 3, scared myself sh!tless in the 6R4
Also driven an FI McLaren, fantastic experience, awesome performance, but not a car to own.

All fantastic cars guys. But if these are the only three cars in your garage - none of you must have dogs, and kids ??

Or is there another part of the plan for these if you got that sort of money

That is why the X5 is in my shopping list - wouldn't want to plit the money in a divorce so need the space

Yep, even with 5 million I would need space for the nippa so my 3 would be -
Hartage H50 (M3 with tuned M5 engine )
R34 Skyline GTR (Say tuned to around 650bhp)
Aston Vanquish (I'd even have the optional back seats), hopefully they'll do a Vantage version soon, i'd have that one!

Should do for now,

Though I will chop and change them quite often.

A P1 with loads of mods....

A P1 convertable for the wife, I know they don't do them yet. But surely could afford to get it done by someone.

Nissan Terrano 2 (Seven seater) for the Family (four girls).

Wouldn't waste my money on nothing to flash.

Hum bit of a toughie.

1. Put a deposit down to get on of the first Porsche Cayenne.

2. Vanquish

3. Get Prodrive to build a P1 wagon (assuming that I would not care what happen to this in terms of dirt dogs etc - otherwise I would have to have an old landie as well)

Phil (Salsa),

This the kinda thing you're talking about ?

For me, it would have to be ...

1. Authentic! Holden L34 Torana SL/5000 (only another Aussie would understand )
2. HSV GTS-R (another one for the Aussies)
3. R34 Skyline GTR

Andrew.

I can only choose 3 ??

I imagine the most fun would be test driving 100+ cars before deciding on the 3 to buy.

After all, if you're in the market for a Lamborghini GT for example; Lamborghini will fly you over to Bologna, pay for a weekends accommodation at a 5-star hotel and leave the keys to a demo GT at reception (with the option of having a test driver show you how one is really driven).

I think I could live with a 360 Modena as a useable daily car (almost bought one a few weeks back).

Not sure about long term, but I'd like to own a real Ford GT40 for a while.

While I appreciate the technical superiority of a McLaren F1, it's looks do nothing for me.

I'd like an Vanquish too thankyou.

I don't think I could stick to just 3 cars though, I'd change them every couple of months or so.

According to some recent article about lottery winners, out of the hundreds of jackpot winners thus far only 4 went out and bought themselves a Ferrari or other "supercar" after receiving their cheque.

I'd announce my win to the family by turning up in a transporter with at least 8 of my new "purchases" on the back.

That's after doing a donut in the exec car park at my work

Anyway, if I had to limit myself to three, they would be:

1. Porsche 911 Turbo (993)
2. Bentley Black Label
3. R34 Skyline

Subtle? Nah......
Fun? Not half!

Difficult one if only 3.

Would have to have a Hartge BMW X5 V12 for the shopping...LOL...long trips, passengers etc

Second would be a roadgoing replica 22B wrc for fun

Third would be 355 spyder for the looks and noise.

That ought to cover most eventualities

I'd just get a scooby. The rest of the money should cover insurance for a couple of years anyway.
Ok then
Jap Street racer 1000 BHP Skyline for the practical car
Either Testa Rossa or F40
M5 for when I am not in a hurry

hmm, very difficult.

as a first quick fire response I'd say..

22b
TVR Tusan S (for those 'swordfish' moments )
Aston Martin Vanquish

now the question is, would the 22b be a standard one, or modified? hmmm, tricky

Porsche 911 GT3 (with two bloody great turbos slapped on it and tunned to 650bhp)

Zonda C12

Bentley Red Label

Or I could just blow it all on a 250 GTO and have change for a Vauxhall Chevette and an rusty Ford Escort

Mark,
Like your choice of a Red Label Bentley, a real Supercar of it`s time.
I used to own a 1923 Model, 3 litre short chassis, 2 plugs per cylinder, dual ignition, no front wheel brakes, would cruise at 80mph all day long (motorway)
Top Car, only sold mine when I got divorced, can`t afford another one now £55/65,000

Ooops Dept.
Edited cos I just realised that your`e probably talking about a modern Red Label Bentley

and I'd cheat and have a seperate garage containing:
500bhp Escort Cossie
1000bhp Skyline
Mk II RS2000
Metro 6R4
RS200
Peugeot 205 T16
Road going Formula 1 car (its been done apparantly)
Mclaran F1
Jaguar XJ220
Ferrari F50
and I would build a private street racing circuit too.
Why? Cos I would be able to.
