Where can I get a lorry driving course as a present?
#1
My other half has mentioned that she'd quite like to drive an articulated lorry, so I'd like to get her one of those 'gift day packages' for her birthday to do just that!
Thing is I'm having trouble finding one. Tried Red Letter Days but they seem to specialize in car & 4x4 events.
Anyone know of somewhere I can arrange this in the UK? The thought of my missus (5 foot 2) in charge of a 38 tonner amuses me no end!
Cheers,
Steve
BTW, before anyone flames me about how women can drive trucks no problem, I'm not having a go - she's a bl00dy good driver and has probably driven more things than me. Her dad used to work for GM and was always turning up with something 'interesting' that she'd pinch for a test drive!

I'm not sure you will find anywhere that has articulated lorries that you can drive for fun as such. Also, the rules for driving HGV's (now LGV) are stricter. You have to pass your class C before you are allowed to drive a class C+E (artic) on the road. Therefore, if it has to be an artic, it will need to be on private land. A quick search revealed these companies that might be able to accomodate.
