Question

Ok, this is meant to be THE gfx card to have, so I'd quite like one, though I'd rather not pay 350 quid for it. I might get it cheaper from my usual chappy, but maybe not.

So I got to thinking, I order DVD's from the USA so why not a gfx card, might turn out to be cheaper as well.

so, anyone know any good US online computer stores, preferably ones that stock this card.

I visit the States a fair bit and find most PC stuff is about the same price or even more expensive than here. Add in the cost of carriage, Customs Duty, and Vat and it often just isn't worth it. And if you've got to return it when it goes belly up? Too much hassle. Stick to CDs and DVDs.

Thought the same too, but shipping costs make it pointless. The Hercues card is way over priced, i wanted a GF3 so bought an ELSA Gladiac 920 (I think) and it was at least 100 quid cheaper than a Hercules - try

You can get way cheaper GF3 by not buying the fully loaded cards with DVI ports, vid capture ports, tv out ports, etc...

Try and find a basic GF3

Thanks,

so, what's the best GF3 without all the gizmos? would only need standard VGA connections anyway.

Thanks.

Sure I saw a creative GF3 @ PC world the other night, but could have been seeing things.
