Get back from a refreshing time away, want to watch Dinosaur with littl'un and my DVD player keeps telling me to Insert Disc!
Sony DVP-S735D.
Troubleshooting section of manual could be better utilised as toilet paper at this juncture.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried other disks ?
I tend to find that DVDs are much more sensitive to fingerprints than normal CDs - may need to clean the back of them?
I hope it's not serious.
