My mate has just put a turbo engine (out of his own RS) into a XR3i Cabriolet and last night took it out. Very fast until it hits 90mph when it just stops at that and won't go any faster.

Is it because the ECU's are limited to 90mph in cabriolets and just needs over riding or because the fuel pump cant keep up with the pressure from the engine/turbo?

HELP!!!!!

So he has got an ECU from an XR3i controlling a turbo engine? Lucky it hasn't done anything terminal yet.
Suggest putting ECU from turbo with turbo engine and doing a bit more research on whole management system before she blows.

And while he's at it, tell him to use ALL turbo engine ancillaries - fuel pump especially....
