London Weekend Parking
#1
As someone from the sticks, where's a good, safe place to park in London over the weekend coming from the M4/M40 direction? In the past I've used the parking at one of the underground stations, but it takes forever to get from central London back to the scoob, plus IIRC, they don't like you parking overnight.

Would it be after 6.30pm on Saturday? If so you can park pretty much anywhere in outer London free.
There's plenty of residential parking in the Ealing area which is free before 6.30pm on a Saturday as well.
Where will you be going in central London. It might be easier to recommend a place to park closer to there.

Pick somewhere residential if you don't want to pay..... Safer than a (possibly deserted) carpark.
Most of the central London NCP's are safe to leave the car in overnight (they are patrolled) but it does work out expensive.
One other suggestion: DO NOT POST ON HERE WHERE YOU WILL LEAVE IT. This may invite the toe-rags to nick or vandalise it.

Thanks for the help guys.
I was visiting Wimbledon in London. By chance I managed to find a parking space outside the local police station in a residential area - so with disclock, barrier deadlock and clifford 600 I was happy that scooby would be still there when I returned...

I live on Gray's Inn Road (where it joins Clerkenwell Road). After 1.30pm on Saturday you can park on single yellows through until Monday morning. Loads of room. Very central and near the underground stations. In fact you can walk the 15 mins to Oxford Street if you want.
