Just realised I've had mine well over a year now and haven't been contacted about subscription for updates.

When i plug it in it still seems to update OK, but is it really updating ?

Also someone on here posted up a cheap source of reradiating antenna - want to mount it where cup holder is but not sure if it'll work without the antenna. Any ideas ?

I got a letter in the post saying it was the "Final Reminder" with the usual red ink.

I faxed the update form back to them with a snotty letter saying they should send out a couple of warnings before a red reminder. Did I hear anything back?

I'd be interested in a cheaper antenna too.

 

RS components have just started doing them for 55 quid, a bit cheaper than geodesy but not much. Part no 441-4425.

I've got a geodesy one with the aerial bit slid under the dash just in front of the clock (MY02) and the radiating aerial and geodesy in the hole under a single din radio. Works a treat.

I got a re-radiating antenna for my Geodesy from gps warehouse for £45 and it does the trick!

I am also considering flogging my Geodesy plus with re-radiating antenna as i just dont get the use out of it. They are great when you our out of your area but i just dont do the mileage.

Ahh, so the re-rad antenna doesn't actually physically connect to the Geodesy? It just serves as an booster.
