Poss looking for one for the wife (keep her out of PTMW! ) Not looking for new, rather 4+ years. Anyone any price guides for these machines?

Also forgotten where to get on-line Glass & Parker quotes.

Thanks

Thumbs up

Cracking little car the MX5; my wife's got a 1.8iS "new" shape that's about 3 years old. I can't recommend them enough. Sure they don't have huge grunt, however I've had 136mph out of it, 2 up + bootrack + full boot, roof down with 18 bottles of red wine under the tonneau cover (on the way back from 2 weeks in the South Of France!). They're an absolute hoot to drive on the twisty-turny stuff and extremely reliable.
If you go for a "new" shape one (1.8i or 1.8iS recommended; the S has got ABS and LSD) you looking at £10K ish for an S or R plate. The original shape ones (pop-up lights) are a lot cheaper still. I must say I prefer the current shape - it looks a lot chunkier than the old one and has a glass rear screen. Prices may drop still further as there's a new(ish) shape coming out soon (the 1.6 is out already).

Angry

Meant to add: The one problem with soft-tops :

scum sucking peasant filth. Cobra alarm scared him off we think. Hopefully it gave him such a fright that he fell backwards into the path of an oncoming HGV.
