Digital Video Camera's

The Sony PC3 is the dogs dangly bits. I have a Panasonic DV1 which is good quality, but slightly larger than palm size. I used the Sony whilst on holiday snowboarding, it's small enough to go in a jacket pocket. Check it out, around 1000 UKP, but worth it.

Thought I'd ask you knowledgeable bunch your opinions. I'm looking to get a Digital Vid Camera, just don't know where to start.
I'm leaning toward the Canon MV300 at the mo.
My criteria are:
Ideally palm sized, it should take good quality stills and offer firewire connection to the PC. Also, it should work well with trackday work, from inside and outside the car. AND be around £700
Any chance?

I bought the Sony PC5 back in Jan. It has loads of feature (most unyet explored).
It also has the advantage of being able to take medium resolution images straight onto it's memory stick.
Cost £1k + options.
