Hmmm, I need to practice a bit here.
I did around 2:45 last night, although I did visit the scenary a bit and I'm playing with a manual gear change for the first time.
Chris.

blubs is snowed in today, but he has asked me to post up his latest. It's 2:30 something. I forgot the last bit, but I think it's 30 something. More later!

*hmmm* practicing when he really should be working...that could be described as cheating, especially as it's a "timed" event...we've only got a week to battle this out...besides my missus is starting to give me grief when I'm in front of the pooter.

J,
Who does wear the trousers in your house mate?

GOOD LORD,
Best I can do is 2.30.92 Seat
Any attempts at betterment have resulted in misery within the first 10 bends.
Hats off to SecretAgentMan.

I've just come back from our kids, left the disc there, didn't see any point trying! My best attempt was my first, in the focus, 3.05. Pete's best was in the Delta, 2.42. I've passed the challenge on! I'd just like to point out I risked life and limb on a fifteen mile snow covered round trip for this!
Any body willing to disclose their setup/cheat?
Bob
PS It's probably a stupid question but can anyone beat 54 secs round Suzuka short on F355 challenge?

Bob,
General rule is current WRC cars only but you can change as much as the setup as you like.
2:28.45 Fairly modified Corolla
Damn, I got some work to do.
Cheers

I'm fairly new to CMR2 - still using auto change (hence best time of 2:46 on France SS2).
I use a Microsoft Force Feedback wheel but could not see how to get the gear change onto the paddles. I can't get used to the change on the buttons on the front of the wheel.
Maybe I should dig out my old ThrustMaster wheel complete with gearlever.
Any suggestions?
Simon

Hmmmm............I seem to be the only person using the chase-cam view. I have tried the bonnet view and after many practice runs I could not get my time to within twenty seconds of the chase-cam view.
The car seems to drift all over the road and you can't tell when the wheels are on the grass!!!
I might give it another try tho'.
blubs
ps Simon, if you open the options menu and choose player 1 controller you can alter the buttons you use to change gears in one of the menus. Hope this helps.

This is blubs's secretary again. It looks like the Secret Agent Man is going to take this weeks challenge. The blubby one only managed 2:26:41 tonight. He might shave a tenth or two off that but only if he cuts down on the kebabs

right...
after the p*ss taking I got from SecretAgentMan last night on chat, I went at it like a loon half an hour ago and can't get below 2:26.9 in the seat. Haven't tried the other cars though..
so... I have to ask the question again, what set up chaps?
I've been using..
Gears, left 1
suspension right 3
power left 3
brakes left 2
I tend to lose patience very quickly, so rarely perfect (or even get close to perfecting) setup.
Maybe we could do a complete rally competition in parralel to this one for those of us that don't have the patience for blasting up and down 1 stage?
Cheers chaps
Simon (I hate being slow!!!)
