With outbreaks in Scotland, N. Ireland and the whole of England - pretty much everything involving groups meetings will be cancelled.

This could go on for a long time.

I just hope that it hasn't made the crossing into Europe - otherwise we could be in for real problems.

Question

Can F&M be spread to animals like dogs and cats?

I know that they can carry it - but can they suffer from it as well?

They can carry but not get it. Has to have "cloven hoof" to catch it.

Tim,
Ah, someone who shows doggies! nice. Our weim is a bit too bouncy to be a showdog, otherwise I could really see SuzyQ showing off Maggie.

Was looking forward to seeing other weims and gundogs (hence going on 'gundog' saturday)

We've got the added problem of finding somewhere to walk maggie, as we're in the countryside in kent, now there has not *yet* been an outbreak but we don't want to spead it around, if it's around, plus SuzyQ is a stablehand, so it's doubly difficult.

To be honest, I can't really see how they could have put the show on. It's a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.

At least it shows support for the famers, god knows they need all the help they can get

Shame really as I was looking forward to seeing the father of my youngest golden retreiver in the ring again. He had a decent shout at getting a bit further than last year as the judge this year likes darker dogs.

Heho....there's always next year, and hopefully my youngest will be qualified by then

but not as cute as ( )

Maggie!

our lovely Weimaraner puppy, well she was a puppy when the pic was taken the day after we got her. She's now a year old and a complete nutter, but we love her to bits.

Tim,
will drop you a line when (if? ) it's re-scheduled, and we'll meet up, can talk about dogs or scoobs, or both!

OH DEAR!!!!!!

It looks like we are going soft. All this doggy talk on sccobynet. Maybe we should call it doggynet.

Anyway ive got two Bernese Mountain Dogs but they are c**p and could qualify for a pension never mind Crufts but we were supposed to be taking our friends Newfoundland to show and he is massive.

Taz.

If the 27th is the Gundog day we will almost certainly be there, may even bring the Scoob as its a Sunday, usually go by train.

Taz, what's the name of the Newfoundland you're bringing as we both adore these and would like to meet a "large" one face to face, we can easily find you by looking through the dogalogue

Yex

PS: Probably won't get to see you on the Sunday Taz as apparently the Newfoundlands are now in the Pastoral group....what's all that about
