Car trouble!
#1
Just tried to get my car MOT'ed but failed Bill to put right form a Pug main dealer £1064.80!!!! Basically head gasket and drive shaft. My car is only worth about double that! Basically I can probably get the work done cheaper but don't know what to do next.
1. Get a banger with twelve-month ticket
2. Continue with my car and hope other expensive (most of them it seems!) things go wrong
3. Try and get finance on something else? Needs to be cheap to run(diesel) service(not french!) and insure (is anyone doing free insurance at the mo?)
I am nearly 21 and have 0 no claims as have been a named driver.
If anyone could give me advice for 1 or 3 then it would be really appreciated as at the mo I have no transport or MOT and soon to be no money!
Alternatively if anyone has any better ideas? Or if someone wants to enter novice rallycross it might be for sale!!!!
Cheers
Andy
PS it’s a L reg 106 rallye if you hadn’t already guessed!

I used LAD 4 years ago when I needed disks and pads for my 205GTi 1.9. Seemed very knowledgeable and professional guys. The car was also burning too much oil and my local dealer diagnosed worn valve guides/seals, (only 45,000 genuine miles aswell, with a FPSH!) LAD could fix this and increase BHP to 160ish for £590ish. I sold then sold tha car.
Give 'em a call.
