FrontPage 2000 Question
#1
I've just started trying to learn about web design, and have been using FrontPage 2000 to learn with.
My question is can I put flash objects in a frontpage web site?
The books I have on it, do not mention anything about it. They do however mention Active X.
Thanks Dan
PS. When its released I will post in the MUPPET FORUM!

Dan ze man. I think you are also looking at dreamweaver, no ?
My advice would be to forget FP and concentrace solely on DW. If you are thinking about doing this seriously now or in the future you don't want to be relearning old skills.
Most companies with half a clue ask what web package you use. Whether rightly or wrongly you'll get sneered at for being a FP man and will lose business.

Dan,
I've gotta agree with Lee, Frontpage is O.K. for cutting your teeth on & getting familiar with web layout. You want to get yourself onto Dreamweaver, I've just changed over and I'm seeing mass potential.
Drop me an Email, may have something useful

I'm yet another web type person and learning raw HTML is very useful. Admittedly you don't need it very often but the better your understanding of any technology the more likely you are to succeed.

I also have been looking at DreamWeaver. I found Front Page a little better to start with.
This is for my own use. I am not looking at doing this for a living. Just fancied learning something about web design.
DreamWeaver looks like it will have to get more of my attention.

A good point cookie/Si.
I used to run a training course on HTML. We didn't even get near a package until about the 4th session !
If you don't learn HTML up front, it makes life difficult when the packages just *will not* do what you want them to
Its interesting that one of the enhancements in DW4 is a "better" html code window.

Yes Learn HTML, it is a good skill and when you move onto more complex sites it can help you reslove problmes.
It is very easy, I learned a lot in about 1 day.
There is a HTML cheat Sheet on "our" site
