Can any old people out there (like me) remember an arcade game.
It was a space shoot'em a bit like Galaxian and Pheonix where you had to progress and build up your shooting platform in three elements. Each stage of your space ship adding extra shooting power.
All the time missiles and rockets fall on you from the sky (or top of screen).
Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers,
R

Bloody raging I tried to post the answer but after changing my email on my profile I couldn't get back in so had to re-register, then it doesn't let me use the new email as someone else has itMooncresta is spot on, it had another less popular variant called Moon Patrol, its local name with all my truant mates was Dock the Rockets, for obvious reasons. Big Big Fan !!!!! Spent more than half my third year at scholl playing this.
I've all this for PC too, if you fancy it I'll fire it over.

Maybe a good topic would be top 3 arcade games of the 80's. Many many a night we've argued this out while drinking. One of my mates always says that "There is a lot to be said for the simplicity and clarity of Original Space Invaders", he's a dick Defender was easily the best and most difficult to learn the game complexity and hand co-ordination..... I could go on all night.....

Pitfall... (Atari 2600).
Someone recently completed a "perfect game" of pitfall, collecting all treasures and not losing any points at all - something like 114,000 points.
They'd been playing the game for years and a competition for the first to do it arose.
They need a life, or a Scooby.

Slashdot? Well, just maybe .
I was shocked to see an outrun machiine still around in the "Cheers" bar in Protaras, Cyprus last year. It's still working...
The worse thing was that I could still complete the thing...
