As there appears to be more and more posts that include material that is unsuitable for minors but still maybe very funny. Can't we have a forum that is password protected which would require some form of ID check before a password is issued.

Then any "suspect" poasts can be moved there and only viewed by those with a password.

Just an idea and probably been suggested before so don't flame me too much.

I think it is safe to say that wouldn't be feasible, as it would involve a huge amount of admin to actually valid that a user is 18+ yrs old - I'm sure there is probably some software out there that could assist with this, but again integrating it into the BBS software could take a lot of work...

So in short, I suspect if you want to view / post that sort of content, then perhaps you should go to an adult only site!

IMPO - this is not necessarily the view of the other moderators.

jason,

A fair point but I think it's been round the circles all ready. The bottom line is that it's a board aimed at motoring so the intended audiance is over 17.

Given that parents should take responsibility for monitoring their childrens.

There was a young lad on here once who took a lot of flack.. then his mum came on... all got very messy.

Best just sit with them when they want to read.

Dave
