Question

Maybe somebody can answer this...

Mars bars & snickers & crunchies etc, are just one long bar. But can anybody explain why a bounty comes in 2 pieces?

Is it something to do with the fact that coconut is more expensive? or is there a more sinister reason?

Crush.......years ago you could buy bountys as either a single or double bar.I think it was 6p for a single and 12p for a double.
I guess they just never bothered to change it.

Also ,with 2 bars there's more chocolate to bite from the outside before you eat the coconut

I also seem to remember them coming in a small piece of folded card inside the wrapper.

Bounty's are probably the only chocolate i eat. I just wish you could buy them without the chocolate on them

I'm sure turkish delights had a bit of card inside too.

With the old bounty wrapping when it had the card inside, you could easily snap the wrapper open in the centre. My dad used to do that when we were shopping, grabbing a bounty off the shelf as we walked round the supermarket, snapping it open, and sharing it between me and him. Used to make the checkout girls frown as they wondered why there was an empty wrapper on the conveyor when dad went to pay for it. Not especially rivetting for others, but it makes me smile

lol! Turkish Delight? I could never eat anything that smelt like perfume

Now chunky KitKats... mmmmm or Yorkies! (although I resent having to dress up like a bloke to get one )

Dont they do the same with Milky Ways ? They come in a big packet of 2, or you can get packets with one it.

Soft and light and they dont spoil your appetite.....

Along plankys retro-sweetie theme...

my fav as a kid was a Texan. Long bar of chewy caramel toffee in what seemed to be imitation chocolate

Second fav was a splicer. Soft chewy bar, stripy colours...***** Wonka material!

Yeh, whos bothered about Sept 11th and Iraq, policemen battering students, policemen downloading child **** from the FBI, fish stocks on the brink of collapse, the number of mugging on our streets, the reduction in the ozone layer and the rising sea levels, the number of bogus asylum seekers bleeding our system, the rate of child illness due to pollution, the lack of any real alternative to New Labour, the state of the NHS, the state of our schools, the state of our country!

Yeh, lets get down to the serious issues, .................................................. .........why do bounty bars come in twos?

I GIVE UP
