I once did Enfield to my parents house in a tiny town called Caistor (25 miles North of Lincoln towards Grimsby) in 2hrs 7mins. This was done 10 years ago in a Sierra Sapphire 2.0i Ghia using the M25, A1 (the old one obviously without the Peterborough motorway section) and A46. I still can't get close to that now, though I did it in 2hrs 15mins last month at 1am in the morning, would have been quicker but Lincs police put pay to that.....

How about: Dover, Eastern Dock gate to Scunny, North Lincs, via M20, M25, Dartford Tunnel, M25, M11, A614, A1 to Newark, then back roads to home. 247 miles in 3 hours 3 minutes, 3-up and fully loaded with wine etc from France. Came off the Ferry abt 1130 pm! 3 years ago.
Couldn't do it now, too many roadworks/cameras.
It was someone I know, your honour.
