I get fed up with all this extra chilli macho bull****. All extra chilli will do is knacker your taste buds, and stop you appreciating the taste of all the suppossedly well prepared and spiced dishes. The number of crap restaurants I've been in who substitute the skilled preparation and just pile on the chilli's makes me want to give up on the whole curry experience in the UK. If you cut back on the chilli you'll find the flavours are something to savour. Oh and I'm no shandy light weight just someone who knows and enjoys a good curry... Balti Murgh Makhani rules........

So, we got any "Chicken Korma for me, go easy on the curry powder" types in here?
Or are we all real men (and women) and add extra chillies to our Phals?
Personally, i'm usually a Pathia man, if not a Jalfrezi. And how many spellings of Jalfrezi have i seen over the years?
Going for a curry tonight. Getting myself in the mood...

normally stick to korma or tikka masala.. more becuase I dont like nuts or many vegtables including onions... so its easier, rather than being pi55sed and having to pick bits out!

In an inverse snobbery kinda way I can't order Tikka Massala now it's soo common (and unauthentic). Shame as I can't deny a good one really is the ultimate naan dip.
However I'm definitely a pathia or dhansak man these days. Good (tasty rather than just stupid hot) vindaloo is hard to find.
C (Going to a nice Pakistani joint tommorow for a change )

Reffro,
Speak for yourself m8.
Chillies have a fantastic flavour to them, I always take extra chillies in whatever dish I eat, not for macho reasons, I just have a real passion for them.

Bhoona and Dupiaza are nice for a non spicy dish
Also very partial to a Biryani

Balti, Byriani or madras for me.
But, i used to live ontop of an Indian Restraunt and the best stuff was the staff curry, a never ending mix that changed a bit every day!
