Anyone noticed the cameras that have appeared on the last 2 gantries before the M25 junction going southbound M1.

One above each lane on each gantry about 1 mile apart, and looking a lot like a 'time over distance' speed trap in the roadworks on the M6 at Birmingham.

Only been there 3-4 days max.

Someone else mentioned this yesterday and I think they thought it was a new SPECS system.....

 

are they passive?
i.e. they just use visual mechanisms,
or are they active - in that they use laser or radar?

doubt it,

under new laws, as of 1st july you have to have signs within 1 mile for london police authority, and I havent seen any speed camera warning signs on the M1 yet.

anyone else seen them, or am I just being thick, because now I am questionning my own memory.

 

I think we need to link these two together
