well almost,

but not a bad day, in fact no day on the water is a bad day, - it was a bit flat, with not really enough wind, but you still pick a fair amount of speed

and it just sooo fvcking exciting - nothing like it tbh

the keen eyed will notice I changed board after the first few runs - I was originally out on my F2 axxis, it is my go to board tbh, just a great all rounder - but there was not really enough wind for it so I changed boards

the second board has got more volume (although shorter) and better for lighter winds

and the vid is taken on a £50 gopro clone (complete with remote which is on my wrist)

Used to windsurf a lot back in the 80`s and 90`s, but it`s easier just to surf down at the end of Cornwall here. I would jump at the chance to have a blast on a modern board and rig though

Nice

Got out about 3 weeks ago here Tide Mills , in fact didnt bother loading car just 100 yards to beach ( rare westerly ) On jp 91 freestyle wave (2005) and 6m . Was nice .
Still **** at gybing though , after 20 years worth. Only time ever made it was on 70l , and the board carve through and sail popped up into hands the other side without me doing anything at all somehow

those cameras are certainly coming down in price !

Was some wind today but nobody out not even the tea-baggers

"gybing is the hardest short board manoeuvre" lol - although you go to Maui and they don't even bother as you lose too much ground downwind

I am just waiting to film a wavy/choppy day - "big air"

that blue board picks up speed like a scolded cat, it is sooooo light - jeez it moves

all the kit is so good now - even the stuff I use, which is 5 / 10 years old

that F2 was under 70 on ebay, and it was like new (I took the nose off last year, you can just see where I repaired and sprayed it), but I just love it, it does everything - gybes, jumps and cuts through chop etc

2nd hand kit is amazing these days,

Finally , figured out thats a 125l tabou rocket 69 wide ! , very differnt to the Axis

Iv always bought boards on the basis of whats available at the right price 2nd hand , hence iv got quad fin quatro which needs wind and skill to get upwind ( cant believe its 4l less than jp) / a 91l freestlye wave jp which is too bouncy in the the chop , a 75 l quatro rythm - again a way too specilist board ( ebay) - that was to replace 70l naish comp wave ( which i still have)

New boards are crazy expensive and the choice is bewildering
( i can see why folks moved to kiting , and anyone new )
But i should throw the lot and get 120l board probably

or starboard black box , someone here has one and looks suitable for here

Last board I had was a Bic rock and roll, it briefly held the windsurfing speed record back around 1850!
