Daughter car Mazda 3 sport petrol had rattle tap noise thought timing chain tension fooked so changed chain and pulleys and vvt cog still the same get tapping when car is not under load (crusing) not on idle either no noise sometimes get tapping when reving the car (blipping the throttle ) my thought are lifter maybe sticking ????

Check the exhaust manifold for cracks

 

Checked everything it sounds like hollow tapping hard to trace as nothing on idle
