I recently got my wife the Huawei P9 and was so impressed with it I've just got myself one too. The camera is awesome and from what I've read knocks it out the park to other phones currently available.
apart fron the **** battery life..... Wouldnt even entertain a 6. The 7 is supposedly leaps and bounds ahead...
A similar battery life to the 7 but with the added bonus of catching fire!
The above and the fact I don't like the Iphone is the reason I opted for Huawei's flagship phone. I did look at the XZ but felt it didn't really offer much over the Z3 it would be replacing(which has been a great phone).
By all accounts the new Samsung s8 due out at the end of February (ish) will be quite a bit of kit I'm putting off my upgrade until then, if you're not desperate for a phone have a look at some of the previews
The way phone technology is advancing I predict that laptop and desktop pc's will become a distant memory, in the near future I would expect that your laptop case will contain a wireless flat screen, a slimline wireless keyboard and a massive flash drive, the main processor with all the apps you will ever need will be in your pocket

There was talk of the note series having a docking station to run it like a desktop PC
The Google Pixel is great as is the Samsung S7 (it was the Note7 that caught fire FYI). Also the P9 is a great phone for the money. Some of the new Sonys are nice too XZ for instance. As an iPhone user I'm waiting for the next iPhone and if it's not leaps and bounds ahead I'll most likely be going Samsung S8.
No mention of the HTC's yet? I've had an HTC One for a few years now and love them. I guess a lot of it's brand loyalty though.
My younger brother's had pretty much every make of phone up to now but he swears by the Sony ones. Might have to give one a try at some point.

Rubbish the s7e and iphone 7 cams are superior shooters faillen, the s7e has a much better/wider aperture and your p9's doesn't have 4K video for example only 1080p. They perform pretty similar in real life conditions, p9 not hitting it outa the park by any means though

Hush your gums Bundy! For the price, nothing equals the P9. For £23 a month I get 600 mins, unlimited texts and 12gb of data. I could of paid twice the price but I don't need an iphone or an S7 to look cool.

No yea its cheap for a reason, saying it has the best cam on the market is clearly the comment of a madman
I have a sony z3+ bought it when new, from new the camera overheated after shooting around 30 seconds of 4K video - thought this would be rectiifed in time with a firmware update, almost 18 months on and the camera is no better. If the camera is important to you, i'd approach Sony with caution. Aside from that, I think it is a great device with 32Gb memory in the phone, and another 256Gb on the card, it carrys my life around nicely! Before anyone comments - yes I am fully aware of cloud storage - but being security paranoid I just dont trust it.
Two choices I think. Google Pixel, or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Reviews all tend to steer towards the S7
Spot on But I don't rate the Pixel at all, not waterproof no external storage and massively overpriced, the only things going for it are the cam and the cpu is one of the quickest at the moment.
