I already can't wait till it's over, only good thing about it for me is roast lamb round at the in-laws on christmas day, then there's usually some decent ale on offer from my brother in law on boxing day, and we get to talk about cars and planes, he's ex Rolls Royce engineer, his hobby is building kit cars and restoring planes with a few of his old mates, so it's always interesting to see what he's been up to.

Beyond that, BAAAAAAAAAA Humbug.

In my little square of houses, I'm the only one without any decorations up.

As I don't have kids, there's no real point.

Tree been up for over a week now. With 2 young kids, Christmas starts much earlier than I want it to!

I am feeling a little more festive than previous years though for some reason. Phone screwed, can't take pics of decorations sorry.

I should add, no Christmas lights outside my house lighting the whole flipping road up. Not into that!

Wife didn't know what she wanted for Christmas, so I've bought her a new plastic washing basket.

I do spoil her.

Mind you, all that deserves decorating for me is my brand new MacBook Pro.

So yeah, let's see your decs. LOL I was trying to type 'decorations' in full and my iPad Freudian-slipped it as 'devastation' lol! I'll call my iPad Scrooge from now on.

A thread titled "Ladies, show us your Tinsel!" would have probably attracted more interest, and maybe some more entertaining pictures too

Sure.

Not in the way that it literally expects the non-existent ladies here to show their dec-ed up houses or Xmas trees, but in other ways, I understand.

I also understand where you're coming from with 'interesting' pictures. Female objectification does take place here to the point that it looks like some sex-deprived desperate wild baboons spaying their sh7t all f''king over and stinking the place down! But I understand that whatever pleases the majority, eh. Innit.

They all look better when the Christmas lights are on TBH.

Exactly.

I bet some of them decorate the Christmas trees inside their house with their kids and pets while their ladies go out to earn bigger income and feed their hungry mouths.

Well Christmas is a commercial thing now and about giving one another useless gifts as well as seeing disliked relatives, so I can imagine why people feel down about it. Too much pressure for a lot of people.

Some are just miserable and lonely, so that's why they can't be awrsed with Christmas, I suppose.

We're very fussy and minimal when it comes to Xmas decs. No tinsel or cheap plastic baubals are the main rule. Although we do have a few plastic baubals just to fill out the tree a bit. Every year we buy a couple of posh baubals/hanging decorations for the tree to replace the tackier ones. We try to buy a hanging tree decoration that means something to us. Also got some lights around our living room window, red Christmas type candles for the dining table and some posh tinsel (it's not actually tinsel) going up the banister. That's it really.

Well spotted, Bio!

It works, so I couldn't throw it out. Hardly gets used, mind. Good seat for our Christmas mouse, though.

It's a normal tree, on the face of it

It's a Kylo Christmas

Leatherface and Darth Vader, just hanging out

Not my tree, but I like the lights on the trees at the mall near my work
