For me my mobile phone (Note 4), so much can be done from it pretty much from wherever I am that nothing else could better it for functionality and daily use.
I really want to get that eventually. Sound bar and the sub. But I need a new TV first .
I wouldn't, they're ludicrously expensive for what they are. You get get a very nice surround sound for the money (or a decent sound bar/sub and save some cash).

Yeah I know what you're saying but I suppose it's similar principle to Mac vs PC, Apple vs Android. I know Sonos is expensive for what it is but it looks extremely nice, it's wireless, it's got wireless multiroom zones that you can set up, plus apparently very good sound quality as well regardless. IMO I'm happy to pay the premium vs a more traditional wired setup with an amp. I know that the only thing you have to make sure of is that you buy a high-end TV that passes true Dolby 5.1 through the optical output to get proper surround sound through the wireless rear speakers.

Anyway, back on topic....
Don't get me wrong, the Sonos stuff is very good as a wireless multi room system (I've got a play1 and a play3 which I can't fault) but to use it for surround sound is very expensive with little gain.
