C4's replay?

Be interesting to see how they go about the ads, when doing it live.

Sky are spot on - in that they only do IN BETWEEN the on-track action. Which did surprise me back in the day (I thought it'd be torturous to watch).

C4 live coverage won't have ads interrupting the race.

Not over keen on new quali format. Mercs just gonna put a quick lap in at beginning of quali sessions while others burn tyres, leaving merc to be further ahead in the actual race?

Quali is a load of tripe! What utter, utter rot.

Well done too Lewis though. 1:23.8xxx - a phenomenal lap.

So far, he's dominated all the sessions... But can he translate it into that all important first blood, tomorrow...?

As already said, qualifying what a load boring rubbish, changing rules for no good reason, will not be watching that again, losing a lot of interest in it, & that's after working for 20 years in it.

Was done for the spectators would you believe...even the teams didn't get it with so many of them missing out early on and not getting a decent last lap, was a garbage spectacle for the pinnacle of motorsport,

Did you get to travel to all the exotic places Paul with the team or was it different then?

Only a few in the early days, 1990 / 91/ 92, was not my cup of tea, preferred my own bed a night, you only ever saw the airport / hotel / track anyway, went to the States on the Indy Cart & Indy 500 when Merc won with single cam V8, that was the best engine program ever, took everyone by surprise, then they banned it.

Lol...I know what you mean, I stay away with work sometimes but never see anything other than work and hotel

Don't know much about that one but usually if it takes everyone by suprise it just because they didn't think of it in the first place, was it banned because it wasn't American
