Ok so I've been tasked with finding a good coffee machine for a Friday morning coffee shop at the local community, for the past 2 years they managed with a dolce gusto nothing mega but did the jobs.

They have just spent 1000s on a proper kitchen and want a proper easy to use coffee machine, plumbed in one, proper milk, bean to cup

They serve approx 100 cups of latte capa etc...

I've done a bit of searching and it seems Jura machines are what I keep ending up looking at....

They also want push button none of the costa steam stuff, just pop. Cup under and press latte, bit like McDonald's self service things

Anybody know if the Juro ones are good or any cheaper alternatives..

Whatever Waitrose is using, simple, tastes alright and takes abuse from chavs all day.

 

Nespresso do a more commercial version...still uses pods though; I've Used them in Hotels.

Recall the once at a Kyriad where the guy in front filled a whole mug full with expresso shots.

I've stopped at some that use a Jura branded bean to cups ones which were free for guests to use during breakfast...some were vile, others served dishwater and some were perfect. In one hotel, they had two identical machines with one serving crap and the other serving perfect coffee. So I guess they can be fickle with the hidden settings and maintenance.

 

Carimali make some excellent machines, but pretty pricey to buy outright (quite a way north of £5K, if you want one with the built-in fresh milk supply thing). I would guess that a lot of places lease them instead.

 

Yeah Jura one is 3600 for what's known as the 3c I think that would be the top of what they wanna pay.

You can get cheaper ones but doesn't really do many types, thanks guys I'll do some more hunting
