From the article:
"Speaking to his mother a decade after the event, when he was in his mid-20s, the victim said: “That cow took my virginity off me when I was 13,” she told the court.
His mother said her son had “tears rolling down his face” when he told her what happened."

Seriously??

Why is it that when I read articles like these I get visions of the South Park episode with Ike and the school teacher.

I'd have thought most 15yr old boys and girls had a thing for one of their teachers, for the boys it would be considered a triumph, yet not so with girls. It's a breach of trust either way in my eyes and she should be punished.

That said there were a couple of young hot teachers at my school that I wouldn't of been complaining about having a fumble in the stationary room with, even if it would of only lasted 30 seconds, or more realistically, probably wouldn't of made it out of my pants.

To give yourself to someone physically is the most precious of gifts. For this 'teacher' to steal that gift for herself was a despicable abuse of power and trust and she deserves harsh punishment. That some of you do not, can not or will not recognise this is a damning indictment of the times in which we live.

I'm not a Jehovah's Witness, but I am a massive hypocrite. I lost my virginity to someone I didn't love and remain unmarried, but in a physical relationship (with the women I love). I regret both these things. I think and feel that sex should be between two people who love each other and within the confines and sanctity of marriage. There's a purity to be enjoyed and a bond experienced that transcends the fleeting pleasure of a moist older women. Not the end of the world, but certainly the end of innocence. To learn about making love with one's soul mate is a blessing that should be preserved and protected and promoted. Old-fashioned? Maybe, but it's where I stand.

At 15 he knew exactly what what was happening and obviously didnt resist. I wouldn't say thats anywhere near a priest and unwilling child.

At 15 one's still emotionally immature. Additionally, there are numerous accounts of people who haven't resisted their abusers.

I hear you, but they're both examples of adults abusing young people who've been placed in their care. The fact that some Catholic priests have raped pre-pubescent boys doesn't exonerate this 'teacher'.

There's surely no abuse involved. If a reasonable looking female teacher advertised herself for sex with 15 year old boys there would be queue a mile or more long of willing participants. It's a prime urge in young men from the age of about 13 onwards to have sex, love doesn't enter into it. Procreation rules.

I agree with JT

we live in an age of sexualisation at too young an age

(yes it has always gone on, but not too the extent now, where it seems to be mainstream)

I guess there is a difference in the way people see the "act" of sex.
You obviously feel very deeply about the two people coming together as one. And that's great.
Whereas others ,me included, see it as a basic need to procreate wherever and whenever possible...and as often...
Both acceptable I guess.
I did not even get the name of the first one I nailed and she was a "moose" to be honest but I went home that next morning at about 0400 hrs chirping like a canary down the street, chuffed to bits .
I have been married for the last 20 yrs and very happily I may add to a soul mate who I would not swap for the world.
But sex is a need for most men I think and the closeness of being with a partner who you love is a bonus and something two people work on constantly . If your getting it at home then theres no need to stray .

But getting back to the topic , at 15 , was I looking for love ....hell no....just to empty my jaffas...!!!
And it took a couple of further years of perseverance to happen .!!! Keep that to yourself though...

age is irrelevant when it comes to resistance.

But in this case, consider he says 'i was pleased i lost my virginity' shows he was willing.

she is up on other charges, but the 15 year old was up for it and your being rather nieve to think anythign else

Even if we consider him saying that he was pleased that he lost his virginity, and was willing 100%, he was underage by law. Both boys in the article were 15 and 13 when that happened to them FFS! Quite rightly, the blame is on the criminal head teacher who lured the underage lads into it. 'Kin hell, man! How can anyone think it's hardly anything to cry about???

I don't think a lot of people understand the impact of something like that on an adolescent. Just because they are males in this case doesn't mean they should take it as a gift and must feel great about it.

They could have had teh same experience with a 17 y/o girl , and come away devastated cos she just wanted the experience .

In this case they'll probably come with fat cheque

That's not the case in the link you posted here, although 17YO F will be committing an offence if they have sexual experience with an under age M.

I wonder whether you're taking her professional responsibility into consideration. She had a duty of care towards her pupils, instead she abused her power and lured the under age boys into having sex with her. There's no way the victimhood of the victims can be mocked in this case, come on.

I find a lot of the post on this ridiculous.
What the boys wanted or did is utterly irrelevant. She abused under aged boys, that the beginning and end of this story.
