No. All you want is to be happy, I know. It's a SMART wish as a generic one. As long as what you want to happy with is SMART too, you will always be happy. Your happiness, one way or other, is my SMART wish for you, you gentle man.

So yes, hope TFI Friday comes back permanently for you.

4.3 million viewers tuned into watch last night's show ... me being one of them, and I watched with a massive smile all the way through; it was great to relive all those memories and I thought the show was a great success, but therein lies my problem with rebooting TFI Friday. As much fun as last night's show was (albeit for Lewis Hamilton, who was for the wrong main guest IMHO), most of it was a trip down memory lane, based on references to the good times we've remembered from the era of the original show ie the now grown-up freak or uniques, and the grown-up baby left & baby right .

A lot of TFI Friday's original success was due to the era it was broadcast in and what was happening at that point in time (my 15 yr old daughter was bemused by most of last night's show because of the shift and change in times). Maybe we should just remember it for what it was ?

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed last night's show.

Totally agree bits of it didn't work but bits of it brought back same crackin memory's and it got to show a wider audience how much of a fanny Lewis Hamilton is

I did the same...put a smile on my face. which given this week's worth of crap has been a positive.

I forgot how good TFi was, and more importantly nothing remotely as good came close to replacing it, which made last night's all the more better IMO.

I noted ITV didn't even attempt at putting anything good on...ancient repeats on-prime: time nothing new there. About time they went bankrupt.

The PC brigade would have it dulled down today - I mean, two kids in a competition and only one winner?
EVERYONE'S a winner - there are no losers today... bull$hit.

It was a good trip down memory lane, but could've done without Hamilton, needed more music (where were Reef!?) and a bit more time.

Just hope it doesn't come back with that Grimshaw chap hosting it...

Grimshaw is a grade A fu**tard, idiot faced waste of Earths resources. If I met him I'm fairly sure I'd nut him.

IMO TFi is not TFi without Chris Evans...love him or hate him - I've done both!

Bit like Top gear isn't Top gear without JC

cant really stand chris evans so turned over as soon as it came on - seems he might be trying out for top gear slot as jc replacement and if so i think it would ensure a top gear without jc flops - if they give guy martin the job on top gear then jc may have some competition for sunday night slot viewing figures if he goes up against it when/if he lands a new production

On the radio Chris Evans really gets on my ****, but I enjoyed seeing it back on our screens again last night after such a long time. I agree, it wouldn't work without him.

Watched it, enjoyed it, was pleasantly surprised that Chris Evans still has the same energy and delivery as the original series.

His admission this the last series was cut short because "he went mad" was particular admirable I thought.

Grimshaw fcucked up R1 big styleee - even with Evans's blessing (which he got! annoyingly) I could never watch TFI with that smug mincer on it for 1 second.

Still smarting about what Ben Cooper (fcukwit!!) did to the R1 Breakfast show and is pleased with himself about it!

But it was an enjoyable trip down memory lane - but 20yrs ago - Blimmy, time moves quick hey!

(still think Liam Gallagher is a beyond cocky, prize knobber too!)

Evans's own breakfast show on Virgin back in the day was superb too.

TFI is returning for another 8 episodes this year (much to the annoyance of the BBC who aren't very happy).
