People who know about german cars
Ive narrowed my next car down to 2 and just cant decide, its between a bmw coupe e92 shape or an audi a5, both probably have smaller engines so any opinions please give them to me
Don't try and make your mind up by reading about them, take them each for a drive and if one doesn't jump out at you then it comes down to buying with your head rather than your hart. For example the cheapest to buy run and maintain, don't forget to look at resale.
Orrrrr.............buy a good car

If there is any remotely sensible way to get the 3 litre diesels... they are so much nicer, but depends on circumstances. Watch out for ride quality, some with silly wheels and suspension can be unpleasant.

Get the 3 ltrs as the dpf are located elsewhere and not as prone to servicing, better engine too and reasonable mpg compared to a 2.0. The 2ltr are poo for mpg, don't take any notice of the book figures.
The Quattro swayed it for me with the BMW and Audi.
Also do you really need a diesel.

Agree if going for the E92, for me, it would be 3l diesel with auto.
That said, between the E92 and the A5 I would go for the A5. Newer platform and you would probably be able to notice the difference. They were both out around 2007 but the BMW is based on the 2004 car.
Again if it had to be diesel, 3L with auto. Early diesels were tip auto 6 speed - try and get a later car with a 7 speed S-tronic.
