Default Changes to the For Sale Section

As hinted previously, we've overhauled parts of the For Sale section: specifically the Car and Car Parts forums.

You'll now be greeted with a series of pull down lists to more accurately describe the Cars & parts you have for sale; this will help sellers and buyers alike when identifying what's there.

Please use as many sections as you can when creating your thread as this will save a LOT of time later and make best use of the search feature when people are trying to find something. It will help everyone in the end.

If there are any ommissions / errors please add a post in the Admin, Bugs / Feature Requests section and we'll deal with it promptly.

Have seen a couple of the new ads, both by the same person, but the Region only said 'EAST'. Would it not be better so select whichever county the part/car is for sale in? 'East' is alot bigger than a county and doesn't give very much info

The ''general'' section is abit to general.

I know Subaru parts are meant to go in the car parts and accesories section but Ive posted 2 identical threads in both sections and get way more replies in the general section so obviously Im going to advertise more in there.

This is probably the largest Subaru forum in Britain, and there are only 30 ads before you get to page 2? Ive seen my threads dissappear to the depths of page 5 in a matter of hours.

It really needs split up and if Im being asked to pay 150 quid to adverise on here Id like it to be sooner rather than later.

Before you deleted my threads, I had Subaru parts advertised on a Subaru forum in between westie pups, a sideboard, CD's and PS3 games!!??

The bit in bold at the top of each post is very off putting - IMO this info should be incorporated into the section search function instead of the actual post.

If that's possible of course.

The thing that i have noticed is that if you go into a For Sale thread and edit the original post it reverts back to default options for location and what models it fits etc. Only takes a few seonds to change it, but if you are editing it a fair bit to add/remove things for sale/change prices/add pictures etc etc it is pretty annoying
