But the post will vanish on the 8th edit! Suffered this all the time when organising the Jordan karting thing. So make sure you've got a copy of the list somewhere so you can put up a new post when the first one vanishes .

Hiya Dudes,

Just had a call from the Inspector Copper guy, thankfully he is "one of the old school"

He has "let it slip" that due to committee and local resident spokesperson pressure and the need to be "seen" to be in control, he has aggreed to post two temporary speed traps along our in route Thing is, he has accidentally suggested where they may be

Basically there will be one set up at each end of the A6097. This road is a long wide quick road with fast roundabouts at each end. In a scoob and an evo (as we all know) you will be easily able to exit the roundabouts onto the A6097 already doing 60mph. TAKE CARE.

Coming from the A46 end onto the A6097, there is a huge layby 2-300 meters up the incline on your right. By the time you see it and if you have kept your foot planted, you WILL be exceeding 100mph as you come into camera sight Please take it steady. At this point you will be 2 minutes from the final RV don't ruin ya day.

Coming from the A612 end onto the A6097, there is a wicked little roundabout with a camber and surface change at the exit all good fun in the wet when no one else is around. This turns into a small dual carriage way, leading over a bridge. Once over the bridge, the road rapidly becomes single carriageway again. The temptation is to boot it along the Dual carriageway up the hill, which is fine except as you come over the brow of the bridge, you will see a long, wide straight A6097 which seduces you to keep it planted. Again, you WILL be doing in excess of 100mph at this point if you are not careful
The camera will be on the right hand side of the road up a driveway which is shielded from view TAKE CARE

On a plus note, the inspector did say he would try and get one of the police scoobs down, however he was not on duty that day so couldn't be certain.

I'm not trying to make excuses either way but here is my sticky situation:

- Did my ankle playing yesterday so the team know it is bad.

- Have a Cup Final on 14th. If I don't go and watch on 7th and I am fit on 14th I may not get back in side. Then, again I might not be fit for the 14th.

- The team we are playing on 7th are the only other team that could get 2nd other than us and get promoted. So, basically if we beat them we are promoted. Also it is the same team that we are playing the week after in the final. Therefore it is a really huge game for us and it would look bad if I wasn't there giving support.

- But The Big One, is gonna be, well, BIIIIG .

Looks like the final "squirt" is on and I can confirm that we now have more parking space availiable than we would ever need. The Landlord of one of the ajoining pubs "The Anchor" has turfed a load of caravans off of his field and said that we could use it Top Bloke

With that in mind, please can we remember that we now have two pubs that would like our custom so if you are parked in the field ( (Car Park 3)About 20 meters from the other pub ) please have your lunch in that pub. I kid you not, it is a thirty second walk to the other car park. This is how i'd like the car parks to be referred to as:

Car Park 1: The small one by the river front
Car Park 2: The Big one at the back of the Unicorn
Car Park 3: The Field

It's gonna be a fab day and I can't wait ( 5 Days to go ) Thanks Again
