Steve E
You mentioned you were thinking of investing in a snooper radar detector.
I got my 'Snooper SD815IS' from www.mcs-direct.co.uk for £199.
I beleive halfords on Tritton Road in Lincoln are selling the same model for £299. (robbing gets).

Paul, your not wrong about that spoiler

Did I see a boost gauge next to your steering wheel. Did you fit it your self, if so, was it a hard job ?.
I've been thinking about fitting a centre console gauge unit, but most places are charging about £600.

Also, how do you turn up the boost, and is it recommended.

I just wondered if any of the other turbo owners had also been having nightmares - you know the type where youre trying to run away and you just cant escape?? - well in my recurring nightmare im thrashing it down a lane - and theres a Scooby breathing down my neck no matter how quick I go I cant loose it, its always there, but its no normal Scooby - this one has no bonnet scoop! - wait... its... a sport! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Steve,

I think the 3/4 system (3 pieces with stainless back box) came to £385! No ECU re-map was required, just the removal of the cat. I cannot comment on how it compares with a standard WRX as I had it fitted from pick up at the garage, but the mechanic said it was 'noticably' quicker than standard.

I think the power is up to 244bhp with this mod, going for the downpipe replacement to remove the other cats will goin you about anothwe 10bhp. I would recommend getting this months Japanese car mag, the one with the RX7 on the cover. In this edition there is a big write up on scoobysport and their moded WRX.

I will hopefully see you all at the next meet.

Phil,
You wanna swap me that park bench that fixed to the back of ya mota for my spoiler then you might go a bit quicker and stop those nightmares.Never bring excess baggage with you it slows you down.

Yes Kevin i did have a boost gauge and they are simple to fit as for turning up the boost, thats easy enough, safe i would think so if you only gain 1 or 2 psi and that does make a difference.Have you done your filter and resonator box.

Cheers paul
