Either date is OK for me. Why not make it the last Sunday of each month - makes it easier to remember!

How about a pub in or around Rugby (might get there on time then ) I've got a couple of ideas but I'll check the car parks before suggesting a particular place

Count me in already in my Green Impreza Turbo MY97. Either date will be fine for me and the Rugby area sounds good too.

The Old Royal Oak, Hillmorton (just outside Rugby) has a big car park, floodlit as well.

Details are:
The Old Royal Oak
Crick Road
Rugby
CV21 4PW

Looking at the streetmap image the arrow is pointing slightly off to the wrong place. Like Richard said it's by the canal. If you follow from the arrow to the right, you'll see Eastwood Gr, Leys Rd and Lennon Close. The pub is just past Lennon Close on the right where that funny little triangle is.

I think this is a good location for a meet.

Ok Guys

Looks like we shall be all meeting on Sunday 28th October.

The Old Royal Oak just outside Rugby, Is this the East side of Rugby ? Is this venu ok with everybody ? Birmingham area guys is this venue too far ?

Richard can you check with the Landlord if 20+ cars decending on his carpark on the 28th Oct is not going to interfere with any of events they have planned, like The Rugby Morris Dancers convention.

Cheers

Neal

It is the East side of Rugby - not far from the M1. I'll check with the landlord.

Richard.

Couldnt work out where the pub was so I tracked the pub down using multimap as its working today. Got a nice distance map showing Pub location in relation to Coventry.

Best route is M6 to junction 1, up to the A5, then down to the A428 to the PUB.

No fixed cameras

Cool

Sounds good to me Gives plenty of daylight time + the option of a drive either before or after if there's enough interest.

Just down the road from me. So i'll be there with the UK300 again. Bad trip back from the meriden meet. Busting for a leak so stopped in the middle of nowhere . Fell in the ditch throwing keys into ploughed field. Grovelling around in the rain and mud for what felt like and hour. Found em and drove home stark bullock naked. Fotunately no pull on the last part of the journey (explain that one away),but cow of job explaining to the other arf. Still suffering the old mental torture so have promised to buy her a Triumph TR4 as i sold her last when she went shopping. Had to . The guy offered me 2K more than i paid for it 3 weeks previous (muppet). That was five years ago and i'm still on rations.

Nice one Ant

I little bit of advice. All pubs now have toilet facilities as standard.

I am glad that your experience of your first meet hasn't shunned you away. Though I cant promise there wont be any ribbing about your recent off road experience.

Good to have a MY01 on board though.

Cheers

I'm hoping to be there. I found out about this meet from the Evo Magazine forum.

If you guy's don't mind me turning up in either an Evo VI or a Galant VR4 (not sure which yet, probably the Evo), then I'll more than likely come and join you for some car talk and a swift half.

Cheers
