Michelle, How did youmanage to do that when you were still in bed
Sorry folks, Twas I, bit of an alcohol induced identity crisis above
(BTW the route isn't 180 miles - we just did a few 'options')

Just in case you are not from Derbyshire, that is the equivalent of being able to circumnavigate the M25 at 5pm on a Friday
or do the M6 southbound from j11 to j6 on a weekday morning!
What roads!
Chris

Mellow: If I was not on this I would probably be going up to York too. I would love to do a NYM run and was talking about it yesterday on the way back from Sunderland.
Have a good time up there & make sure you make our next one (some awesome roads!)

Route is now complete, just a few minor details to sort out & we are ready.
The route is a mix of all sorts of road, fast, slow, straights, twisty bits, hairpins, moors, valleys, hills - even scenary(if the weather is any better than today )
So there really is something for everyone!
Start will be about 10-10:30, lunch at a pub, finish about 16:30-17:00ish at another pub with easy access to routes home.
It's certainly easier to recce than Wales

Would anyone be offended if I turned up in a Skoda? By then it should be run in, nodding dog installed, picnic rug on parcel shelf, a nice thermos of tea and some sarnies all ready to go. Actually it just needs some exercise and its better than driving aimlessly around on my own trying to find some decent roads.

Yep, come along, but It would be wise not to bring the nodding dog, and you'd better make sure your flask is well fastened & secured
