#5
Hi Y'all,
Is this trip along the same lines as the Lakes one the other month,If so you can probably count me in however I'll only be able to join you mid-saturday afternoon.........Hmmmmm just in time for the Guinness supper.
On about that,is there any towns close enough to the Camp site for a few cultural bevies & a boogy

I'm pretty sure when I replied, my name wasn't in bold, hence I wasn't down as confirmed. Can you confirm this Mr Whiskey?

I was *ahem* "suffering" Saturday morning, well, up until mid morning I wasn't sober enough to drive! Thank goodness for those breath test thingies, I hate driving even with a little alcohol in my system......
Nevertheless got back at half past 12 in the afternoon, very groggy and had lost my mobile, I could here it all the way back and it was interfering with my alarm.....it kept setting it off
Took the dash apart cos I heard it coming from in there....and where was it? Tucked up, hidden, under the passenger seat
Did I feel a muppet?
Very much so!
My parents ridiculed me for the next day
See you Tuesday CW, I will be there this time
Michelle.

If you count the over 60's you just may find a kicking place nearby
There should be no reason to leave...

1st the Good News: The Day 1 route is sorted, it is VERY long and tiring but the lunchtime pub is absolutely excellent and the roads are AWESOME!!!
Bad news, well no news really, still haven't had a chance to sort out the details with the campsite (only so many hours between nightshifts eh 'chelle)
DOH!
Does anyone know how to build a worm hole to Wales from the Midlands, as the commuting is taking it's toll?
Kev/boomer. I will be in touch when I've slept, if I'm not out west again!
Chris

Is there a Little Chef or anything at the services?
I'm thinking of getting there a bit earlier for a little bit of brekkie (nothing too heavy though, I don't want to be sick in the twisties!)
Means an earlier start but I enjoy the road over to Shrewsbury from me (which should be nice and quiet)

Yes Chris, 'chelle & I ate there this mornin. It is the standard Esso/Little Theif/Burger King/Travelodge + a Harry Ramsdens - if you are getting brekie get in early as it takes 20 minutes to make a pot of coffee and 35 minutes to cook a slice of toast, don't try for side orders as they will arrive after you have left,

Next question then...
What's the crack with eating facilities at the camp site?
Should we attempt to better Pete's and Mellow's attempt at arson and bring a BBQ? Or can we eat properly cooked food in comfort elsewhere?
ChrisB.

MMmmmm Mellow and Pete doing a BBQ eh ... I can smell the steak tainted with added LRP and SUL now I suppose the question has to be can they cater for all of us ?!
Mellow/Pete where are you
So it will be a choice between or or tough call....

Kev...brilliant mate, it'll be good to watch your back end coming out again, so to speak
Our BBQ was admired greatly, it fed several hungry people with A La Carte bacon butties and meat ( I think ) on a stick, Pete's alcohlic breath caused the barby to ignite bonfire style and well.....he just never stopped breathing on it, or drinking for that matter.....anyone for more meths.....say's Pete.......no..........no........oh go on then

Gentleman, & ladies.
This IS one of the BEST CAMPSITES IN WALES!
You can rest assured that there should be sufficient capacity in the sea view Resturant,Take Away, Shop, Bar etc. etc.
If we ever get round to confirming the booking that is!
