Well I ain't!

Two reasons....

1) They won't let me in with Combats and Para boots

2) I'm metal to the core , so if I'm in the mood for clubbing, I will be off to worship the temple of Rock City

I'll expect to hear about all the shenanigans the next day ya bunch of townies

The works unfortunately doesn't do it for me. Besides my jabs aren't up to date and hanging around in those kind of places I'll need them.

i stayed in the 80's-90's 2000 room.....COOL

You ain't kidding mate

Occasionally when we've been in the past, they have returned to some old classics for about 10 mins or so where we all go for a 'boogie' on the dance floor. Brings back some memories when they play the good tunes

Looks like we may have a splinter group heading off to Rock City then? Anyone fancy meeting up in the Tap n Tumbler?

Of course there will be a dress code.....
NO shirts
NO trousers
NO shiny shoes
NO ties (unless they are leather and studded )

It has gone a bit 'townie' (compared to how it used to be anway). They never used to play pop-rock when I was there in my youth

I'm sure myself, the missus (or Hanslow's Bird as she is affectionately known by Mike ) will be RC'ing it

Sorry guy's RC really isn't my thing,
Think i'll stay with Salsa King and go to the works at least theres a range of different music there.
Anyway i'm sure it's going to be a great night regardless.
See you all there.

if people wanna come with me a craigamungos to the newest club in town, then come.
if you wanna go with the rockers to a place where your shoes/trainers sink into the moist wet carpet full of beer etc, go there!!

the choice is yours

Well when I was a lad... (long wait while I remember) it was Rock City every Saturday for the 'Alternative' night.[mid 80's when most of you where in nappies]

I went back a couple of years ago and discovered a new room I never knew existed.

Anyway, brings back fond memories (Red Stripe, Killing Joke/Cult/PIL & trainee Nurses!! )
Ahh, them w'ot day's eh lad?

Ah yes indeed.... despite being the KING of cheese and handbag... I to, go misty eyed at the mention of RC ... circa 1990.

Many top nights were had..And what about the Irish? That was student-nursetastic!

We actually were persuaded into RC by a pretty hilarious bunch of Limp Bizkit dress-alikes only a few weeks ago. It is a tad commercial now, but still a top rockin' night!

However, this week i as bin' mostly frequenting "The Works".

Cya there!
