With the lighter summer evenings starting I thought it would be a good idea to get out and about and meet some fellow Scooby owners (other cars welcome – no Nova’s though ). Most meets seem to be arranged over the weekend so I thought it would be good to arrange a regular mid-week meeting.

My idea is to all meet up at a country pub and drive along some country lanes / good B roads arriving at another pub for some food & drinks. Being a mid-week meet it will need to be reasonably local (Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire border / end of the A14 / M6) but I’m sure I’ve seen enough Scooby’s about to make it worth while.

Post here or email me if you’re interested – I don’t mind doing the running around but I need to know who’s (if anyone’s!?) interested first. Ideas of good pubs & driving roads also appreciated.

If you were not aware (have a look back in the past 10 days or so worth of posts), there is a fortnightly meet that takes place around the Derby area which includes people from all over the midlands.

Not disrespecting your idea at all, just making you aware that one does currently exist as well. Next one will probably be 18th April if they are as regular as they appear they might be.

If you go, don't try keeping up with WALKER's nice white STI, particularly when police cars are coming the other way (slight heart stopping moment )

 

You should sit alongside him .... gggrrreeeeaaaaaattttt managed to keep the curry down too which was a bonus !

Richard.......Why not come to our next Bedfordshire meet on Suday 29th at the Flying fox on the A5 cos i'm sure some of the lads would be intrested in a meet elsewhere with other Scoobies.....Let me know what you think.

I'll be sporting my new gas discharge lights (although they need slight adjustment on angle) so I need somewhere to try them out

Lads, you just crack me up

I think the next mid week meet will be at The Middle Bell in Barton under Needwood, just off the A38 between Lichfield and Burton.
My mate owns the pub, is a Scooby owner, oh and has a Mexican resteraunt in there as well.
What does everybody think? Will post on seperate thread next week to gauge a response.
