Hiya chaps
Have we just had a top weekend or what
Top Roads + Top Beer + Top Food + Top Company = Top weekend
We will have to have another go at this next year, without doubt the best weekend I've had since the last best weekend ...

Oh Yes...
indeed we did have a fantastic weekend...
the roads...well....its wales...what more can I say
everyone had an excellent time...the residents of the village even came out on mass to great us as we reached out destination near Lamberis.
Camp site excellent....we have even been told we can have an entire field to ourselfs next year (just in case you want to come along).
For those of you interested in the WRC style small front plates Jase and I have...all you need to do is ring Independant Radiators (Derby) on (01332) 362363 and the lads will sort you out.
Special thanks to Kev for providing such excellent cooking and coffee this morning...by god...did we all need it (*hic*)
Jase also provided us with an excellent display of historic camping equipment...you'll get this if you were there.
We may have all missed TRAX 2000...but I reckon we had just as much fun (if not more).
Maybe next year our midlands planning will allow us to visit both events.

Cheers Ian me old mate ...
I can't take all the credit for the breakie ... charliewhiskey had his meths stove out ... the meths must of left over from the night before ... I was desperate for that coffee I can tell you ...
Thanks for the the phone number, I'll call 'em in the morning ...
Jase and his "antiques roadshow" exhibit was a scream, but he made up for it with that table ... where would we of been without it ... or the plastic shelter ...
On refection I think we all forgot one or two things ... but as together we had the lot ... gadget of the weekend has to be those 2-ways ... what would we of done without those ...
my 35mm film will get done tomorrow, and hopfully scanned and put up tomorrow nite ... Including Jase's relic and one or two other great shots ..
I'm off for a good night kip .... without a beer

What can i say...............bleedin` fantastic. what a laugh!
Thanks to Jase for organising and to everybody that turned up to make it a very memorable weekend.
Great driving both days especially Saturday over the mountains ......had to take it easy on Sunday due to our beer exploits the night before.
Cheers to all for the cooking equipment and Kev, your a star with the communications, we would have been really lost without them.
Must do it again next year perhaps with even more of us!

Well...... I dont care what anybody say's about the Welsh...... what a bunch of ******!
Where else can you get asked to leave a filling station forecourt because the sight of too many cars ( ie 8 Imprezas ) will discourage other customers from stopping.....
.....or get told off by a Vauxhall Cavalier driver ( and his wife ) for overtaking them too quickly.....
Yep I've got to admit it was a cracking weekend...... lets do it again SOON.
Till the next time

What can I say..
Most excellent time... apart from the Welsh people (sorry to all the nice ones, if there are any).
My eyes still arent fully open..neeed more sleep.
Definately have to do it again...
And where else can you leave home with 4 bottles of booze... have 6... and come home with 20+ ?
And my car survived!!! cool
The roads were excellent... the radios (two ways) definately saved the trip on a few occasions..
Nice campside... ****e weather (when we were pitching).
Yeah.. that garage guy was a erm.. wont say anything.. incase young people are reading.. lol
I didnt use too much fuel.. even with the spirited drive back with Jase..
Even including the power slides around islands.. and getting air-born on dual carriageways while coming off islands..
I will learn what araf means oneday

It wasn't every Welsh person we met, just a few of them
The folks in the pubs and on the campsite were great, but then again most of them wer'n't Welsh.
I liked the fact that the campsite had a big sign at the entrance saying Families & Couples only, but were only too happy to welcome 8 burbling Scoobies and their, all male, beer swilling occupants!
When's the next one?
Chris

Evening chaps...
Well that was fun!
Cheers for everyone turning up and bringing all sorts of useful apparatus..
My disks now look like dalmations...how many heat spots...warp factor 7 Scotty!
At least I saved some notes from not buying one of those new-fangled iglo things...hehe
...boys must have the latest toys eh...
I know it possibly wasn't the most robust of constuctions...but it had charm and a bit of homelyness about it
Semi-interesting observation of the weekend:
How much toe/slip-stream you get from a car during 'spirited driving' (I like that term!)...quite freaky.
Once again blindin' weekend...
cheers
jase.
Oh...and that big dog with the brandy flask never did turn up did it..?
