There is a SINGLE SPECS unit (fake?) just after the cotgrave lights.. but no second camera??

Then some way further on, just after the large melton/grantham/shell optimax roundabout!!

If you continue onto the A52 literally just after the bend off the 3rd exit (past bingham towards grantham) there is the first SPECS (average speed!) camera, then next is down before the JET (I think it's Jet) garage!

I got pestered by an audi who clearly hadnt seen the cameras and he roared past me (I was doing a legal 59mph ) and no doubt got a ticket.
I had previously got a ticket on the 'bingham straight' a while back so I am always very cautious now...

 

i had visions of you saying they were on the A52 between Derby and Notts for second there

 

Haven't they been there for ages?? I too thought yuo were going to say between Notts and Derby (or yet more on the Notts ring road)

 

Chrome, according to my tom-tom the ones on the A52 near Cotgrave are active both sides
also the Bingham one is very active i go through them a least 6 times every day, like you say its a long stretch from one camera to the other, starting on the A52 just after the exit of the roundabout underneath the burger van that's parked up of the left and the other one just before the jet garage apox 1 mile, i wonder how much revenue they have took already.
the next lot to go up is on the A46 near Cotgrave near the other optimax shell garage near the hill the posts have been up for about 5 months now, but no cameras on them yet i live at cotgrave and travel to Bingham every day so il let you all know when they put them up

 

dunno if they have been there ages- I dont go past THAT often..
the binghm are 'new' at least to me

the wierd thing with the cotgrave ones is that there is only ONE camera?
I thought specs had to have 2 to calculate the average?

the bingham ones were on their way best part of 6 months ago.. the tell tale blue posts were up .. but no cams..
doesnt help with that stretch that if coming from grantham to notts that its a 30limit (where were the roadworks? ) then BANG straight into a SPECS covered NSL for a mile... I didnt even bother overtaking the slow (read sub 40mph for fear of raising my average over the mile..)

still a little concerned over the single cameras at the cotgrave lights...
anyone know if they are genuine?

 

The blue poles have been up on Bingham bypass for best part of a year but the cameras have been in place for 4-6 weeks now. I have not been up the A46 towards Six Hills for a while so don't know if they have fitted the cameras on these yet, but there are some more specs cameras on the A46 at Farndon just before Newark.

 

Also for the Nott'm lot, A6005Long Eaton to Beeston, at the Chilwell retail park traffic lights as your coming from LE direction back to Beeston, be careful as you pass thru the traffic lights the markings have been painted on the road for a gatso, some may think its a red light camera when it goes up BUT IT ISN'T

What about the 40! & 50 limits on the A610 Dual Carriageway from, Jn 26

That has GOT to be the next SPECS site as the only reason for such a restriction, westbound, must be to generate revenue! The only reason it hasnt got central crash barriers is because they built it on the cheap, and they have rectified that on the downhill bit towards IKEA so why not the rest

Watched a Corsa being pulled there the other night.. Copper was sat in the lay by just on the left bend heading from motorway to Ikea.. glad I rolled past at 40.

That'll teach the Corsa to try racing a scooby from the lights on the motorway roundabout - good job I don't 'play' with Corsas or it might have been me

 

God i hope theres none on the A46 near sixhills,came along there from Skeggy last weekend and was doing over a ton on the dual carriage part.
