Stoke Scoobs.........March 2005 Meet.

Stoke Scoobs.........March 13th, 2005.
Yo all, many thanx to all who attended today, considering the weather I think it was a sterling effort and a good run, especially the return journey.
Let's get some ideas for a meet in March and hopefully we'll get an even better turnout.
Come on people let's hear your ideas, did todays meeting point suit everyone or should we make it somewhere central to Shropshire/Staffs and Cheshire.
Shall we make it the 1st Sunday of every month?
Looking forward to seeing some more pics of today if anyone has any.

Sounds good to me, but March 6th is the next Peaks Tour and I'm not missing that .
BTW, did you get my email or PM?

Ayup mart, March 6th no good for me either I'm afraid as I have a gig on the 3rd and on the 5th March, so will be knackerd.
I was looking at later on in March, perhaps the 20th so I can show off my new paintjob and new wheels .
It doesn't look like there's much interest in this at the moment though, sadly.
Skoosh.
ps: Yes, I did receive email.

See you in March sometime. This time I think we should do at least the speed limits on the way there, everyone enjoyed the return journey from our last trip!

Right then,
there will will be a Stoke/Shropshire meet on the 20th, at a yet to be decided location.
Feel free to make suggestions, and we'll settle on somewhere by the 6th.

Well, I can't make the 20th anymore due to the Peaks Tour date being changed.
I do need to have a play with my bullet camera before then, so need a run out to somewhere.
What's the name of the pub where the A53 crosses the A51? Anyone for a meet there early afternoon Sun 13th?

Did anyone here go to Bedford? Wish I had, it looked a nice track with plenty of distance between the track and the armaco!

skoosh, if you're starting a new thread, I'll hijack this one ...
Does anyone in 'the group' have any 2.5 experience ? I'm specifically interested in the difference on the road between the 2.0 and the 2.5 - with a view to building a new engine for mine, with 2.5 unstrained or 2.0 steel bottom as the options.
Alternatively, does anyone have any 360+hp experiences on either engine - i.e. on the road, longlivety ?
I'm not going to be dragging or tracking mine, but I'm aware that its current output is going to kill it fairly soon (within 12 months) and I'm hoping to get something built to replace it before it goes, with a view to 380-400 hp as a road driven potential.
Obviously, there are people on both here and 22b with the experience, but I'd like to talk to someone directly, and maybe experience the car (?!).
Also, it's worth noting that it would need to remain a potentially high mileage, daily driver.
Cheers,
Mark
PS _ Obviously I'd have to 'do' something with the new gearbox, but I'll worry about that later (Assuming that this one lasts a while )

Looking forward to the weekend and seeing your new 'mono-tone' paintwork!!
What's the plan - going to Derby again?
Coventry are having a meet on the 13th, tho that might be a bit far to go?
Nice bit of toll road on the way!?
