Thinking about SUNDAY 15th February (could treat it as a Valentine's trip out! )

Perhaps a drive, Sunday dinner somewhere, a drive back and a cuppa or 2 at our place.

What do you think? CW... got any nice little routes we could do? Anyone interested?

If the date isn't too good, then we have the weekend after free too.

Anyone else?

Incase you don't know, we're moving to Bristol as soon as we find somewhere to live! We had hoped to be gone by now, but I spent 3 weeks in hospital over Christmas and New Year, so we're a bit behind schedule! (But I'm ALL better now! ) Dave has actually started working there this week, I'm doing the packing and the trawl across the net looking for suitable properties to rent!

Looking forward to the 15th... might even make a cake or 2 for those who come round for a cuppa afterwards!

I've thought about it, but I'm not sure my car could handle being washed twice within a month!!

We went for a quick drive over the peaks yesterday, and so the car is now covered in mud, as well as all the other stuff thrown at it in the snow the other week!

Thinking of meeting somewhere at 10am? That way we could get moving by around 10:30, just after CW has turned-up

Sorry for not keeping this thread very lively.....internet at work this week has been very slooooooow, and neither me or Rachael have had access to a pc in the evenings!!

Anyway, assuming all is well, on Sunday we will have...

Me & Rachael,
missyc
CharlieWhiskey
mikeesingh (+ lizzy?)
flat4
555-Shaggy
TonyG
markr1963 + Theresa
casper555

All we need is a start venue!
If we meet fairly early, I guess we should be able to squeeze into the Maccy D's at the Markeaton Island (A38 / A52 r'bout)?

Then all we need is some kind of route to follow....Chris?!

What's this 'washing the car' I keep hearing about... thought that was something the dealer did when you handed it in for a service

Sorry I havnt replied, but been away for a few weeks with virtually no acess (I was better off in Austria) I reckon we should have a run aroud the 'Alton Towers' circuit, with a couple of interesting diversions

So, starting place at MaccyD's? About 10.30am?
Finishing... at ours? Sometime around cup-of-tea-and-cake-time?

THIS SUNDAY!!!!

Hi this is Lizzy.......Mikee's car's still in the clinic and Kev's is still missing a front end ..so looks like we won't be able to join you on the drive ..... But if you can let one of us know where you are planning to end up for lunch we will meet you there. Please email eahatton@aol.com or mikeesingh@aol.com.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

So,

just to confirm (again!)....... 10am at Maccy D's, for 10:30-ish start.

Looks as though it might be a bit damp in the morning, but hopefully no floods!!

See you in the morning!

Thanks everyone for turning up!

Hope the 140-odd mile round trip was worth it for the tea/coffee and cake?!

We really enjoyed ourselves - nice meal, pleasant company and a cracking route (thanks Chris!). Hope to see you again sometime soon - either for beer & curry, or at another one of Chris's drives!!

According to my sums you three did 135 miles and I did 154. Christine got 26.5 mpg, mine was 18-20

Glad you enjoyed it, nice weather, shame about the tourists!

Still no idea who the silver one was, will have to put a thread up in 'Was it you'

Nice gentle start to the season, role on the Exmoor Camping Trip
