I've got a Magnex twin dump downpipe that knocks because someone has cut the bracket off that pushes it away from the gearbox side of the car. Does anyone know anyone with a welder or access to a welder that can weld stainless steel bits together and who doesn't charge too much to do it?

Failing that does anyone want to buy a downpipe minus the bracket cause it knocks on my car?

 

i tried to get a sport owner to come to the last meet who was a welder apparently but that maybe pushing luck since he aint bin inorgorated to the cov massive yet u kud try the usually mechanically minded suspects i suspose as i'd b fek all use on that front!
Can give u a list of breakers if they might have a suitable bracket or surely u kud get 1 machined?

I reckon I can make up a bracket no probs, it's just getting the thing on there

magnex are usually a terrible fit the bracket is usually cut off to allow the pipe to clear the bulk head, this is where they usually knock. Will be happy to reweld if you have the parts.

Thanks STD but I sold the pipe last night to someone who can hopefully do more with it that I was able to. It was knocking on the gearbox mount for me I have just found out. The chap that now has it has a Magnex centre and BB so hopefully he'll be fine.
