After a few years away we had our first meet last night which went extremly well with a good turn out despite the arctic temperatures

The story starts in mid 2004 when i (m444GY) and other like minded subaru owners from around the area decided to have a meet in middlesex due to the fact that there was no such meets or events around the area . The first meet we had around 10 cars which was way more than was expected and with the location that we had chosen was abit over crowded but it was nice to see that the enthusiasm was there and it just needed to open up, and that is where the start of the msoc was formed. After a few meets at the small location we were stuck trying to find a new location for the meet that had space and scoob friendly environment and with the winter kicking in and the meet season closing to an end we scowered location after location and finally stumbled upon our now trustworthy proving ground which is Ruislip golf center which had over 100 spaces and scoob friendly staff who didnt mind the rumble of scoobs once or twice a month . 2005 is when it all kicked off properly with the first meets of the year showing new faces and cars showing up and meets happened regular into the summer where we attended the Middlesex Auto Show and had a blinding turn out the first subaru stand of its kind at the show and had lots of interest from the public and a good responce from the organisers of the show welcoming us back the next year .
The meets kept coming and the sun and rain shone and soaked us but we still kept coming out to keep the msoc alive and running . The turnouts were at a good level into the winter and then it was 2006 ! 2006 was a just as good as the previous and off the msoc went again karting and meeting , racing and larking ,banter flowing and mods growing into the spring which is when for unfortunate circumstances my scoob had to go and the sadness sunk in .
I missed the buzz of the meets and even though i did turn up and show my face in my (bmw) it wasnt the same and after a few months i faded away into the wilderness of work and everyday life and lost touch with the guys n gals of the msoc . i still poped up on here seeing that it was still goin strong and another Middlesex Show had been conqured with an astinomical turnout and meets were still buzzing along as usual which made me happy. 2007 came and went bored in my beemer dreaming of the day when i would be back in a scoob and back in the fold and it wasnt untill jan this year when i had a spot of luck and fate that i was once again able to jump back into the drivers seat of a scoob and oh it felt good ,,, which leads me back to last night which was the first time id seen the gang in nearly 2 years and we had a good night chatting and driving like loonatics and catching up (not with budgie though) lol

so i hope we can get the msoc back to its best and have a great 2008 and get some expoditions arranged for the near future , karting,paintball,ect

bring on the summer and oh yes....

I'm told that this Ford Escort is in fact a diesel. Yes DIESEL. That's the fuel used by tractors and taxis. I've never seen such a tastless use of colour and bodywork. This car must live in Southend or somewhere else in Essex. I dread to think how much he's spent making it look this crap. He's stuck with it for life because no one is going to want to buy it now.
