wr1 alloys spare wheel !

Default wr1 alloys spare wheel !

Hi peeps just put a set of replica prodrive wheels ashuka 18". My question is on a we1 do they have a 18" space saver as I only have the standard wrx one if so anyone got one need before I go on holdiday.

mate as long as your rolling radius (I.e the distance traveled in a rotaion of the wheel) is the same you wont need a different spare.

hi thanks ash bit won't a 17" space saver be a different rolling. Radius to a 18" wheel.

Would of thought it should be the same. Easiest way would be just measure it.

I'm pretty sure the wr1 spare is bigger to clear the brembos. I can measure mine if you'd like. I think you're right that the rolling radius will be bigger on the 18".

Hi is your wr1 space savour an 18". The only reason I'm asking is I don't want to damage my diffs as I did on my legacy cost me a new box. And has anyone got a 18" space saver I need before Sept

Space savers in the normal newage STis are 17"

The tyre profile on the 18" alloys will be lower than on the 17" alloys to keep the rolling radius the same - so I would imagine the WR1 will use the same 17" spacesaver.
